A lovely book by James Webster and illustrated by Bill Morden . The Rescue Reading series published by Ginn in the late 60’s were designed to aid reluctant male readers.
This series was published in 1973 by Holmes McDougal and covered a range of history, geographic and biology subjects.
When we were first sent into the school library to choose our own books there was a whole series of Hamish Hamilton Gazelle books to choose from. I had forgotten all about them until I found this one in a charity shop. Published in 1966.
I’ve only ever been able to find this book in the ‘We Discover’ series. It was published by E. J. Arnold in 1972 (and is a great tool for an adult going around a church as well !)
This lovely book is illustrated by Raymond Briggs and was published by Bodley Head in 1963.
The Tale of the Bullfrog by Henry B Kane was one of the first books to show high speed photography as illustrations. Published by Collins in 1946.
Junior Science – Electricity, part of a series published by Frederick Muller Ltd in 1974. I love the illustrations in this book which have a lovely blue colour.
